In this episode, we discussed trigger warnings (are they necessary?), H.G. Wells and Lovecraft, the latest weird fiction books, had some thoughts for writers and other creative types, and more.

In this episode we talked about the C.M. Eddy / Hippocampus lawsuit, then...

The discussion that begins at 34:15 is about THE AGE OF LOVECRAFT, a book of essays on Lovecraft, his work, and his themes. I neglected to mention the title in this discussion; sorry about that.

Then we briefly segued into our thoughts and opinions on the Lovecraft racism topic. Some may be sick of this, but it isn't something we've talked about much on this show, and I believe we contributed meaningfully to the discussion.

Then we moved on to: the upcoming NIGHTMARE WORLD graphic novel, LOVECRAFT IS MISSING, Nick Gucker's upcoming limited edition zine, FRAGILE DREAMS by Philip Fracassi, the upcoming WHISPERS by Kristin Dearborn (inspired by Lovecraft's "The Whisperer in Darkness"), and the ending to 11/22/63 by Stephen King (with spoiler warnings ahead of time).

With Kelly Young, Matthew Carpenter, Rick Lai, and me, Mike Davis.

Nov 7, 2016

In this episode we discussed THE MADNESS OF DOCTOR CALIGARI, a brand new anthology inspired by the 1920 film THE CABINET OF DOCTOR CALIGARI. With editor Joe Pulver, and four of the book's contributors: John Langan, S.P. Miskowski, Michael Griffin, and Molly Tanzer.

Rick Lai, Matthew Carpenter, and Pete Rawlik also contributed to the discussion.
